Training

Our training events focus on the systems we know best—refrigeration and compressed air.  We offer this training directly to industrial customers, but also to utilities or public agencies on behalf of their customers.

Whether it’s fundamental engineering concepts or the specifics of operating a particular system, we will make sure your people understand it. And take our word for it—it won’t be dry.

Everyone from the corporate engineering manager to the new guy in the engine room to the utility account representative should come away more knowledgeable and motivated. Our training will help you:

  • Identify energy-savings potential in your systems
  • Rethink your current strategies and settings
  • Realize you can make a difference in your site’s energy use and be part of a success story
  • Learn problems to watch out for as you move toward more efficient settings
  • Learn how to save energy with the equipment you already have
  • Ask questions and get answers

Good things come out of these trainings:

  • Ideas for new projects
  • More persistent savings from past projects
  • Low-cost or no-cost energy-saving ideas

Our refrigeration training often draws from the Refrigeration Best Practices Guide that we wrote with the support of the Industrial Efficiency Alliance.

Here are two recommendations of our Industrial Energy Efficiency Training from Cimco Refrigeration and Manitoba Hydro.

We have completed energy efficiency trainings for a wide variety of organizations, including:

  • Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (10 trainings in OR, WA & ID)
  • Washington State Energy Office (WSEO)
  • Portland General Electric (PGE)
  • Seattle City Light
  • Idaho Power
  • Wisconsin Focus on Energy
  • Manitoba Hydro
  • British Columbia (BC) Hydro
  • Frick / York (now Johnson Controls)
  • CIMCO Refrigeration
  • Heinz Corporation
